Mississippi River and Pierre

Pierre had a shopping list of items readying the cake for Mardi Gra




beginning in 5 days.




He was in a hurry and seemed to have a craving suddenly for another ingredient,




so he went to a special bakers market in the old district.




He ran into a friend of his from Madrid and they spoke to each other in




the Basque form.




They had worked at the same restaurant many years before.


His friend had written a cookbook on the specialties of the region.




This publication.........was to be dedicated to his late great uncle a guerilla soldier,


or part of the resistance during WWII.



I have tasted many of his recipes and they are delightfully refined,


with lean meats and spices, for a palate experience in seduction!
